At Trinity Logistics, we will perform a thorough evaluation of your entire logistics operation in order to recommend the procurement solution that is best for you. In addition, with our powerful TMS, we are able to offer our customers a variety of carrier rating, selecting, and tendering processes in order to create a total solution that is unique to each customer’s needs. Customers will also have the ability to easily manage and add to their carrier base, no matter how large or small, right in the TMS.

Available Procurement Options:

• A detailed RFP (request for pricing) conducted by our Trinity team on your behalf

• LTL pricing negotiation conducted by our Trinity team on your behalf

• A collaborative effort where our Trinity team partners with your personnel in order to allocate responsibilities for the bid process (for example, we could conduct the bid while you rank the carriers)

• Our Trinity team will act as your consultants, providing recommendations as needed throughout the bid process

Available Carrier Rating Processes:

• Negotiated carrier contracts— Rates kept on file in the TMS that were secured through an RFP.

• Electronic Spot Quoting— Rates that are submitted for a single use on a specific shipment in response to a mass quote request e-mail. The customer can send the e-mail request directly through the TMS to carriers of their choosing. Carrier providers can then enter rate responses directly into the TMS via a link embedded within the e-mail.

• Electronic Bid Board— Rates that are submitted for a single use on a specific shipment in an auction-like setting. Carriers receive an open bid notice, respond to the notice with their rate, and get awarded the shipment if they are the most competitive bidder.

• Combination— Needs are not always cut and dry, which is why we also offer our customers the ability to utilize a combination of the above processes. This ensures that all of their rating needs are satisfied and that they are securing the most competitve current market pricing.

Available Carrier Selecting Processes:

• Automatic— Our TMS can be configured to automatically select the carrier of your choice based on an assortment of criteria including but not limited to lowest cost, shortest transit time, or best service.

• Manual— Customers can easily compare carrier rates side by side so they can determine themselves which carrier they want to utilize on their shipments.


Available Carrier Tendering Processes:

• Automatic— Our TMS can be configured to automatically tender the shipment to the carrier of your choice. If that carrier is not available, the tender can automatically waterfall through your carrier base until the tender has been accepted.

• Manual— Customers can tender the shipment to the carrier of their choice with a single click of the button.

Available Carrier Acceptance/Rejection Processes:

• Electronic— Carriers can accept or reject tenders electronically through EDI communication.

• Manual— Carriers can accept or reject tenders manually by logging into the TMS or through their tender email.

• Automatic— Depending on the carrier relationship, our TMS can be configured to automatically accept the tenders on the carrier’s behalf.
